Coty, the American multinational beauty company, opened their new headquarters for 500 employees in Amsterdam in 2020. Powerplant created the overall hospitality concept and technical area design for the restaurant. Multinationals such as Coty place great importance on the well-being, productivity and happiness of their employees. Powerplant developed a concept that translates and extends the values Coty holds dear to services available all day.
A company restaurant provides a valuable service to your employees, both substantive and social. But restaurants have traditionally been focused only on one-time use, a space to eat. For Coty, we created a space that can be programmed to be much more of a hub for employee interaction. The space seamlessly transforms from a café in the morning to a restaurant at lunch and a townhall with drinks after work. This is all achieved by designing a kitchen and coffee bar that work together to create flexible services that can be turned "on" and "off," allowing them to offer different types of food and drink throughout the day.
We practice what we preach! After designing the spaces and creating an appropriate concept, Join Program took on the daily catering at Coty. With an extremely high guest satisfaction rate, Join Program provided Coty with healthy lunches during the pandemic by preparing the food on site but using electric bikes to deliver it to employees' homes.
