Coty, the American multinational beauty company, opened its new headquarters for 500 employees in Amsterdam in 2020. Powerplant developed the overall hospitality concept and the technical spatial design of the restaurant. Multinationals like Coty place great value on the well-being, productivity, and happiness of their employees. Powerplant created a concept that translates Coty's core values and extends them into services available throughout the day.
A company restaurant provides a valuable service to your employees-both in terms of content and social interaction. But traditionally, restaurants are designed for single-purpose use: a place to eat. For Coty, we created a space that can be programmed to serve as a hub for employee interaction. The space transforms seamlessly from a café in the morning to a restaurant at lunchtime, and into a town hall with after-work drinks. This is all made possible by designing a kitchen and coffee bar that work together to deliver flexible services that can be turned 'on' and 'off,' enabling a variety of food and drink offerings throughout the day.
We practice what we preach! After designing the spaces and creating a fitting concept, Join Program took on the daily catering at Coty. With extremely high guest satisfaction, Join Program continued to serve Coty during the pandemic by preparing healthy lunches on-site and delivering them to employees' homes using electric bikes.
